Day Trip to Paxos & Antipaxos – A Little Dream in the Ionian
Starting from the port of Corfu early in the morning, you leave the town behind and head into the serenity of the Ionian Sea. The journey feels like traveling through light – the water reflects the sky, and your gaze drifts toward the horizon.
First stop Lakka:
A small seaside paradise at the northern tip of Paxos. Here, time seems to stand still. The sea is calm, perfect for a first swim, while the colorful houses and quiet cafés offer the ideal place to rest.
Continuing the tour, you head toward the western side of Paxos, where nature reveals its most spectacular face. Sheer cliffs plunge into the deep blue, caves carved by waves and wind – a landscape of wild, untamed beauty. The boat enters the caves, and for a moment, the sound of the waves echoes in their silent arches, creating a magical atmosphere.
And then… Antipaxos.
Here, time has no place. Voutoumi Beach welcomes you with turquoise waters and fine white sand. It’s the kind of beauty you can’t describe – you simply live it. Relaxing under the sun, diving into crystal-clear waters that wash away every thought, and feeling a sense of fulfillment that only nature can give.
As the sun begins to set, the journey continues back to Paxos, this time to the port of Gaios. A walk through the narrow streets, among shops selling local products and tavernas filled with the aromas of the sea and Greek summer. Time for food, conversation, and a glass of wine by the water.
After dinner, the return to Corfu is peaceful. The sea is dark, but the sky is full of stars. And the heart is full of images.
